Welcome back! I hope your quarters are off to a great start. We have a great line up of speakers this quarter. Our first meeting will be on Friday, Jan. 26; Dominic Bailey (CU Boulder) will share some of his work with us.

Fall quarter 2023: Schedule of Presentations

Welcome back to campus! We are kicking off our Fall 2023 HOPR line-up on Friday 10/13, 2:15-3:45, with a visit by Prof. John Proios (University of Chicago). We will discuss his paper draft, “The Knowledge of Free People: Dialectic, Intelligibility, and Liberation in Plato’s Sophist.” As usual, this will be a read-ahead event — I will be circulate a draft of the paper one week before our meeting.
